Prof. Juhi Huda is Assistant Professor – Environmental Studies at FLAME University. She received her doctoral degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA. She also holds two Master of Arts degrees in English from University of Nevada, Reno, USA and University of Pune, India; and a B.A. in English from University of Pune, India.
Prof. Juhi has a total work experience of over nine years. She was a Postdoctoral Researcher at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Institute of Technology, USA and has taught at University of Colorado, Boulder and University of Nevada, Reno, USA.
As a doctoral student, she examined the role of information in stakeholder communication and the role of evidence and risk perception in the agricultural biotechnology policy process in India. In other collaborative research projects, she has examined the role of citizens and information in wildfire mitigation and framing of problems, solutions, and community adaptation in response to wildfire; the strategic use of information in climate change communication; social and ecological impacts of extreme winter storm events in the Lake Tahoe region; and how organizations view policy challenges that arise from climate change.
