They  will be giving a talk titled “Digital Solutions for Empowering Women: What We are Learning in the Field. "

Abstract:

In the digital era, technology has been one of the potential means to increase women's socio-economic empowerment. However, this also has the potential of further excluding sections of women given many socio-cultural factors. Furthermore, the persistent digital divide between men and women is not only about providing access but also about providing the capacity to make meaningful use of the technology. The discussion will focus on field insights from the 'ground-up' from several current initiatives, with a particular focus on digital finance for the traditionally excluded.
