FLAME University's liberal education philosophy strives to make connections between seemingly disparate disciplines. In this time of uncertainty, we need to be equipped with the right temperament, knowledge and tools to be able to deal with unpredictable changes. Looking at a situation from various perspectives betters one's ability to find optimal solutions. With this view in mind, we bring to you a webinar on ‘The Simplicity Paradigm’ with Saurabh Mukherjea and Anupam Gupta. It is free and open to all those who register. We live in the internet age. We have access to enormous amounts of information. Is this a boon or are we challenged with the information overload? Are we gaining long-term wisdom or are we in an illusion of attaining knowledge? Are our minds cluttered and distracted? Are we wiser, happier, more skilled and less stressed? In this webinar, through the lens of Saurabh Mukherjea’s and Anupam Gupta’s new book, ‘The Victory Project’, they, along with Manish Chokhani, will discuss how simplicity can lead to better lives and superior professional performance. The Simplicity Paradigm, as coined in the book, is a six-part framework for achieving peak potential. The first layer of the paradigm is specialization, simplification and spirituality. The second layer of the paradigm is clutter reduction, creativity, and collaboration. The talk will discuss this framework for lifelong learning and skill building using case studies to show how other people have built careers and businesses using the structure laid out in the book. ‘The Victory Project’ is a culmination of two years of research by Saurabh Mukherjea and Anupam Gupta on the drivers of outsized professional success alongside personal fulfilment in professions as diverse as music, cinema, literature, psychology, manufacturing, investing and martial arts. The ideas behind the book germinated in 2018 when Saurabh addressed a group of investors at the FLAME Investment Lab With The Masters program, FLAME University’s flagship annual value investing program.
