Prshant Lahoti is a curator, gallerist and social entrepreneur with several business interests in the filed of art, culture and real estate . He started Kalakriti Art Gallery in 2002, to promote art and culture in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. He has since curated over 250 exhibitions, ranging from distinguished artists including Jogen Chowdhury, K.G. Subramanyan, Shuvaprasanna, Anju Dodiya among others. The French government awarded him the second highest civilian award for art - Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) in recognition of his significant contribution to the arts, culture, literature, and the propagation of these fields. And most recently, Prshant’s map collection which is part of the Kalakriti archives was selected and showcased at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and the National Museum, New Delhi. And very soon, the maps will be a part of the prestigious Google Art Project.
