When the cover of the latest Economist screams – “Israel Alone” it is difficult to take one’s eye off it and digress into some other perspective of West Asia. The Israel-Palestine issue has dominated the West Asian scene repeatedly since the founding of the Jewish state, but Mr. Naqvi spots a certain finality about this round. This however is not the way the western media views the situation. Mr. Naqvi will explain why he sees the Gaza war differently and he shall fall back on his personal experiences in Israel, Gaza, Iraq, Southern Lebanon, Yemen, Jordan, Syria and Iran. He shall end on “whiter now”. The Indian perspective will be part of the narrative from the days of Nehru-Nasser Bonhomie, right upto a Hindu temple in the UAE briefly of course.
