Speaker Bio:
Mr. Anvay Nayak, a proud alumnus of FLAME University, is currently serving as the Project Coordinator at ReefWatch Marine Conservation. He holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from FLAME University and has previously worked with esteemed organizations such as the Centre for Wildlife Studies, Environment Synergies in Development (ENSYDE), and Buda Folklore.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated extensively with the Karnataka Forest Department and various funding organizations, including the HCL Foundation and the Siddhartha Lal Foundation, to implement marine conservation initiatives such as the Marine Megafauna Project and the Ghost Net Project. His work involves managing large-scale research initiatives, leading diverse teams, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.


Description:
During this session, Mr. Nayak will discuss key aspects of managing large-scale conservation projects, including:

  • Effective stakeholder management, balancing the needs and expectations of government bodies, donors, and partner organizations.
  • Leading and coordinating teams with diverse skills and educational backgrounds.
  • Ensuring compliance with donor reporting requirements and preparing research reports.
  • Managing documentation and regulatory compliance for government agencies such as the Forest Department.
  • Fieldwork experiences and insights from hands-on conservation efforts.
