PUNE: Flame University, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amherst College, Massachusetts, USA, to collaborate on academic and student initiatives, share best practices and generate research studies.
Sharing her thoughts on the collaboration with FLAME University, Catherine Epstein, Provost and Dean of the Faculty, Amherst College, said in a written statement to the press, "We're delighted to build a strong relationship with FLAME University, one of the premier liberal arts institutes in India. With this partnership, we will provide outstanding opportunities to our students and faculty to engage in collaborative learning and research. I very much look forward to sending our students and faculty to FLAME, and to hosting FLAME students and faculty at Amherst.
'The collaboration is for an initial period of 5 years. Amherst students may spend one semester taking liberal arts courses with and living in residences alongside Flame students. Similarly, Flame University students can also spend one semester or an entire year taking liberal arts courses with and living in residences alongside Amherst students. This exchange program is for undergraduate students. The collaboration also includes students, faculty and staff exchanges, research collaborations, curricular development, conduction of experiential learning programs, pedagogical innovations, academic conferences and colloquium series, said the official note from Flame University.
