These are lakes that have been a part of the history and heritage of Warangal, becoming an integral part of people’s lives. Students were able to explore the modern-day state of these lakes and the role that they play in the local diaspora.

“Ahilyabai Ki Kahani, Maheshwar Ki Zubani”: A Reflection on the Discover India Program Experience
As a part of the Discover India Program, students set out to conduct extensive research on a topic of their choice that would enrich them with the knowledge of a specific culture of India. Through this project, students explored the impact that Queen Ahilyabai Holkar had on the political and cultural landscape, in a predominantly patriarchal society, and learned about her administrative and political prowess.
