7th & 8th March, 2025

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The symposium aims to explore the evolving relationship between humans and digital systems, emphasizing intuitive, accessible, and impactful interactions. As technology becomes more integrated into everyday life, designing seamless and human-centered interfaces is critical. This symposium brings together students, researchers, and industry experts to discuss emerging trends, innovative methodologies, and transformative solutions that enhance user experiences across various digital touchpoints.
Through engaging discussions, project showcases, and expert-led sessions, the symposium will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of cutting-edge solutions that redefine the future of human-computer interaction.
THE THEME AND ITS RELEVANCE
The theme "Transforming Touchpoints for Human-Computer Interaction" explores the evolving nature of digital interactions and the shift towards more seamless, adaptive, and human-centric interfaces. As touchpoints between humans and technology continue to expand-from wearable devices to smart environments, from voice assistants to neural interfaces-this symposium seeks to explore the breadth of what “touchpoints” entail and reimagine how these interactions can be designed to enhance efficiency, inclusivity, and engagement.
Key focus areas include:
Understanding user behaviour | Non-Traditional Touchpoints and Scope | Importance of Information | Designing for Impact | Ethics and Responsibility in HCI | Accessibility and Inclusion | AI and Personalisation and more..
Join us as we explore how cutting-edge advancements in HCI are reshaping the way humans and machines connect in an increasingly digital world.
OBJECTIVE OF THE SYMPOSIUM
The symposium aims to:
- Explore the evolution of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and how digital touchpoints are being reimagined in an increasingly interconnected world.
- Bridge the gap between research and real-world applications, fostering collaborations that lead to impactful solutions.
- Encourage interdisciplinary engagement, bringing together expertise from design, cognitive science, computer science, psychology, and business.
- Showcase innovative projects that demonstrate creative approaches to enhancing user interactions with technology.
- Foster discussions on responsible and ethical HCI design, addressing topics such as data privacy, accessibility, and bias in technology.
As digital ecosystems continue to expand, the way we design interactions will shape the future of user experiences. This symposium provides a space for students and experts alike to engage in dialogue, prototype new ideas, and contribute to the advancement of HCI.
IGNITE AND INTERACT
7th March: Student and Expert (industry and academicians) Mixer Event
Today, many innovations fit into users' journey and experiences as pivotal touchpoints and early-stage, design-driven start-ups are important contributors to this dialogue, and they will be able to showcase their work and share their journey as part of the "Ignite and Interact" mixer.
Start-ups selected for the showcase will have the opportunity to:
- Present their work to a diverse audience of industry leaders, academics, and potential collaborators.
- Network with fellow entrepreneurs and innovators in the field.
- Receive feedback and insights to push the limits of innovation.
