First year courses in FLAME University’s MBA (Communications Management) program are divided into Core and Liberal Education Courses. These courses are mandatory and common for all MBA (Communications Management) students at FLAME University.
Core Courses cover different domains of communication management, essential for a communication professional. These Core Courses cover areas like General Management, Communication, Marketing and introductory areas of the different aspects of communication like Advertising, Film and TV, Print and Digital. MBA (Communications Management) students are expected to complete twenty-one (21) Core Courses in their first year.
Liberal Education Courses comprise courses in fine & performing arts, humanities and social sciences. These courses are meant to enable students to broaden their world-view and examine their own cultural heritage through wider lenses. MBA (Communications Management) students are expected to complete three (3) Liberal Education Courses in their first year.
In addition, all students are mandated to participate in a sports activity to further provide opportunities to build fitness as well as teamwork skills.
The first year of the MBA (Communications Management) program is followed by a mandatory summer internship of 10-12 weeks in duration which makes up the Experiential Learning Component of the program. This component of the program exposes students to ground realities and enables them to make connections between academic work and the real world.
