The program is rooted in liberal education. With globalization and emergence of new media, the practice of communication requires creative thinking and innovative problem solving abilities. Therefore, FLAME University has made a radical departure from traditional models of communications management education by providing access to courses from multiple disciplines including social sciences, humanities, fine arts and performing arts and by providing opportunity to learn, develop, and hone creative thinking. The evaluation is not based on a simple rote learning based annual examination system; rather, there is continuous evaluation through case study presentations and projects. Hence, the test is not only of what the students have learnt but also how much they have understood, internalized and able to apply to real life communications management situations.
